Gem Research SwissLab – GRS, is a private independent gemmological research laboratory, founded in 1996 by Dr Adolf Peretti. Gemological Institute Of America
The Gemmological Institute of America (GIA) is a non-profit institute dedicated to research and education in the field of gemmology and jewellery arts. Founded in 1931, GIA’s mission is to protect all buyers and sellers of gemstones by setting and maintaining the standards used to evaluate gemstone quality. The institute does so through research, gem identification, diamond grading services, and a variety of educational programs.
In the 1940s, GIA established the “4 Cs” (Cut, Carat, Clarity, and Colour) and the International Diamond Grading System™. GIA has been serving the Indian gem and jewellery industry since 2004 when it first opened its Mumbai campus, and four years later, a State-of-the-Art grading laboratory in the same location.

International Gemological Institute
IGI is the largest international laboratory for diamond and colored gemstone certification. It is the only international certification lab that is controlled by a single central governing body that adheres to one internationally acknowledged system for diamond and colored gemstone grading. Indian Institute Of Gems & Jewellery (IIGJ)
The Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery (IIGJ) is an initiative of GJEPC established for sustainable development in the Indian gem & jewellery industry. It is the country's premier facility for certifying coloured gemstones, diamonds, and jewellery. With an internationally standardised infrastructure, the association offers gemological services to clients worldwide. It has a state-of-the-art tools, automated screening machines for diamonds, and other spectrometers. These instruments can detect elements at extremely low levels, enhancing the accuracy of their reports.
